1. The Norfolk Community Biodiversity Awards are run by the Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership to celebrate individuals and groups whose voluntary efforts lead to improvement of biodiversity and greater community engagement with local nature sites.
2. The Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership will ask for your contact details so that we can contact you regarding your nomination. In line with the General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and Norfolk County Councils data protection policy we will only use this information will be kept securely and will only be used in connection with the awards.
3. To make a nomination for the awards you will need to complete this online survey. If you encounter any issues whilst trying to make a nomination please contact us at biodiversityawards@norfolk.gov.uk
4. Nominations will only be considered if the activities, projects and groups are within Norfolk
5. Anyone can make a nomination for the awards and groups/individuals can nominate themselves.
6. All categories will be judged by an independent panel with the winner and highly commended from each category being announced at The Norfolk Community Biodiversity Awards evening.
7. Nominees who are shortlisted for an award will receive an invite to the awards evening and can bring up to three guests with them.
8. We cannot pay for travel expenses to the awards evening.
9. We may refuse or disqualify nominations if:
a. We suspect any entrant of cheating, deception or fraudulent conduct;
b. The entry includes defamatory, malicious, indecent or inappropriate content;
c. The entry includes trademarks, logos or copyrighted material not owned by the entrant.
10. We cannot accept any nominations received after the closing date of 27/05/2024 at midnight.
11. We cannot accept any nominations that are incomplete or illegible.
12. We will expect winners and highly commended entrants to take part in reasonable publicity including a photo call at the awards evening. We will send photographs of the awards ceremony to media and use them on our websites and social media channels.
13. Entrants have to consent to Norfolk County Council and The Biodiversity Partnership using the words and photos they have submitted as part of their entry, to promote the Community Biodiversity Awards.
14. The Biodiversity Partnership and Norfolk County Council are not liable for any claims, damages, costs or expenses that entrants incur as a result of entering these awards.
15. We reserve the right not to award prizes if there are not enough nominations or if nominations do not meet the requirements in our terms and conditions.
16. We are entitled to cancel the Community Biodiversity Awards at any time and we will not be liable to anyone as a result.
